On the lighter side-Movies-The Eagle (2011)-Channing Tatum, Jamie Bell
Good story line and action makes this one a must watch. Channing Tatum stars as a commander of the Roman Army whose father disappeared several years ago in the Scottish highlands along with several thousand troops. In order to restore his family honor, Tatum takes a slave (Jamie Bell) with him to that area to recover the Roman Emblem that is the pride of the Roman Army. Recommended
On the lighter side-Movies-Moneyball (2011)-Brad Pitt, Jonah Hill
If you love and know baseball you will absolutely love this movie about the year 2002 season where the Oakland A's used an unorthodox method to recruit players and went on to win 20 consecutive wins-an American League record. Great story and acting. Highly Recommended
On the lighter side-Movies-The Raven (2012)-John Cusack
Chronicles the supposedly last days of the mystery writer Edgar Allan Poe as he teams up with a detective to find out who is killing the citizens of Baltimore, Maryland using his writings as the inspiration. Atmospheric with good acting by John Cusack as the writer. Recommended.
On the lighter side-Movies-Chernobyl Diaries (2012)
This is about clueless American tourists who stumble upon an extreme tour guide of the deserted Chernobyl reactor site and face horror instead. Not that great and suspenseful. And it is not really a horror movie per se. Not Recommended
On the lighter side-Movies-Iron Sky (2012)
Weird European-Australian collaboration about a Nazi invasion from Moon. With little known actors and a throwback to the 1950s science fiction movies, this is one to be seen to be believed. Recommended for fun, otherwise stay away.
On the lighter side-Movies-Dark Shadows (2012)- Johnny Depp, Michelle Pfeiffer
Johnny Depp at this best doing what he does acting in a wonderful way making a character that only he can play straight faced and make people laugh. He is a cursed vampire who is awoken after two hundred years in coffin and tries to protect his future generation from a witch. Great movie with Michelle Pfeiffer and Helena bohman carter (seeing both after a long time) based on the hit TV series. Highly recommended.
On the lighter side-Movies-Prometheus (2012)-Michael Fassbinder, Charlize Theron
Great special effects sci-fi prequel to the Alien movie about the ship Prometheus sent to a far off planet where they discover clues to the origin of humans only to find out that they have to fight for their lives. Very good made although the story did not tell the whole situation. Highly recommended for sci fi fans.
